A catch-all email mailbox is one that collects all the emails sent to non-existent addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone misspells it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Just one single mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and in this way you will never miss emails because the other party has an obsolete address or has made a typographical error. The disadvantage of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving plenty of spam emails, but this issue can be fixed using an anti-spam protection solution. It’s also important to bear in mind that a mailbox with an activated catch-all functionality cannot redirect inbound emails to a 3rd-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting

If you host a domain on our cloud platform and you have a website hosting account, you’ll be able to enable the catch-all feature for any email mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel comes with quite a few features, but it’s amazingly user-friendly, so configuring a catch-all mailbox requires only a click. All the email addresses that you have will be listed in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll just need to click on the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the specific address. Our system will alert you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either turn off the latter feature or select a different mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as simple and takes one more mouse click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The custom-built Hepsia Control Panel that comes with each and every semi-dedicated server plan that we are offering will allow you to create a catch-all email mailbox without any effort even in case you do not have much web/email hosting experience. All it takes to achieve that is to click on the catch-all icon, which will be on the right side of each mailbox that you’ve created using your domain names in the Email Manager section of the Control Panel. As you can have just one single mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will let you know if you have already created another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding activated. If you decide that you don’t need this feature any longer, you can remove it by clicking once again on the very same icon. The Email Manager section will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
